Register for Iyunim 2017-2018

Iyunim: Jewish Explorations @ BJC is our hands-on, exploratory Jewish learning program, for children ages 3 years through 4th grade. In this engaging learning community, our children explore Hebrew language, Jewish stories, and together create learning that will grow with them their whole lives.

Our children meet on Shabbat mornings, 9:30 am-noon, and all gather for family learning one Sunday a month, 9:30-11:30 am. In addition, if you interested in sending your children to Iyunim on a weekday from 4-6 pm, let us know!

Our learning on Shabbat is elevated by observance of shabbat in the shul, consequently our children do not create permanent pieces of work on that day. Family Sundays and our weekday program are opportunities for children to have more exploration time, including writing Hebrew, making crafts, and producing artwork. We send home regular email updates with questions and challenges that enable the learning to continue all week long. All three classes (PK, K-1, and 2-3-4) have teachers working collaboratively.

For any questions or thoughts, please contact D.Marcos Vital, Congregational Educator (651-452-2226,

Participation in Iyunim costs $350 per child for the year (with an additional cost if your child also attends on a weekday). If you have older children, their Shabbat morning tuition is also included in this cost. Please sign up children Grade 5 and older for Kehillat Shabbat here.
